Ingri Haraldsen, "The Explorers"

Ingri Haraldsen, "The Explorers"

Graphite on paper
16.5" x 18.6"

Ingri Haraldsen was born in the north of Norway, and currently lives and works in Oslo.

She is interested in the human relationship to nature and nature as mythology. The work becomes a kind of positive escapism, where the contradictions between the time that was and the times we live in today meet, as a fragment of a story. The elements of nostalgia is often not based on memory or a personal history, but rather a type of ownerless identity, where the focus is not in the subject, but on the totality of the image.
