James R. Eads, born in 1989 in Los Angeles, CA, is a versatile artist renowned for his post-impressionistic, dream-like works that explore human connection to nature. Educated in printmaking, painting, and graphic design at a liberal arts school in New York, Eads returned to LA to design gig posters for bands like Phish and Foo Fighters and events such as Bonnaroo and Outside Lands. In 2013, he ventured into divination with his first tarot deck, leading to the creation of nearly a dozen divination tools and the establishment of his business, Prisma Visions. A pioneer in virtual reality painting using Google’s tiltbrush, Eads has collaborated with Google, Soulpancake, and VR Scout. In 2021, he co-founded Eads Bros. with his brother Sean, launching the tarot reading app Pocket Visions and developing their first video game. Eads runs a dynamic art studio in downtown LA, which also serves as the flagship for Prisma Visions.
