Artist Statement
"Compared to my Ocean Acidification artwork, Coastal Development has a more hopeful vibe to it, as nature is taking over excessive coastal development, turning the tables. Humans are gone and nature is thriving again. It’s also a reminder that coastal developments directly compete with natural growth, but unfairly so."
- Stephanie Kilgast
