Artist Statement
"When humans love something, we tend to protect it. If we could all find some sort of connection to the natural world, it will no doubt lead to more care for our environment. The more we remember that we are all in this together and everything works together, the more we will value the importance of a healthy and biodiverse planet. My design was created to represent this connection we have with nature.

Many people, including myself, have found an appreciation for nature through outdoor activities such as surfing. When you fall in love with activities that are so directly related to breathable air, clean water, stable weather patterns, and a healthy snowpack, you can’t help but think about what you can do to protect the environment. I hope to encourage more people to get outside and experience the natural world in order to nurture our connection and love for it."

Artist Bio

Hannah Eddy is an artist/illustrator who grew up by the ocean in Maine, but her love of the mountains brought her out West. She is currently based in Reno, NV, nestled close to the Sierra Nevadas, which she loves exploring. As a snowboard, skate, and surf enthusiast, her art is inspired by having fun, spending time in nature, and being kind to our planet and each other. Hannah uses funky characters, hand lettering, and a lighthearted illustrative style to evoke a playful interaction with nature. Her art radiates positivity and reminds us to all let our hair down and have a little fun. She combines her love of illustration, design, painting, and murals with a diverse list of clients and collaborators.
