Artist Statement
"This piece shows the vibrancy and diversity of the sea life of New Zealand waters, in particular, the coast of Tairawhiti. The creatures are joyfully, and playfully, riding the crest of the same wave. It is a reminder of the joy and pleasure that we can all take from the ocean, that humans are a part of but that our inclusion should be harmonious and balanced with the environment and ecosystems that are already there."

She loves having a chance to be part of meaningful projects whenever possible that promote and encourage the kaitiaki (guardianship) of nature but also enjoys indulging in aimless, fun drawing; all kinds of people, magic and silly bugs.
