Artist Statement

"Lighthouses have always fascinated me; I love how they stand strong as a symbol for guidance and light against rough waters and weather. This is a crucial time in history, where we all must take action and stand strong in the face of pollution and the destruction of natural habitats. Like the eel in this drawing, I hope that we can all be "drawn to the light," to education, peace, and the truth in the importance of protecting all living creatures. As an artist, it is extremely important to me to depict all animals with the importance they deserve. It is urgent that we all stand strong and fight for the animals who cannot fight back against human destruction; life will not be the same without them."
